Mr. Binner was first a friend of my Mom and Dad. I met him probably 50 years ago. He soon became a man I looked up to. He always had time for you and was always smiling. He always had a story or joke. After you left him you always had a smile on your face. I will miss him a lot but I will always remember him. He was a great man. - Posted by: Terry Douglas (friend) on: Mar 24, 2021

Very sad to hear the loss of Rollie. I have known Rollie for 50 years and have never met more of a gentleman in my life. Rollie was a true professional. He was most kind, caring, with a great sense of humour and always had time for Murray’s friends. A man I admired from the first day we met. He was courageous and had a positive attitude towards life. Rollie, this world was a better place with you in it. You are a truly Prince of a Man. I will miss you. - Posted by: Doug & Darlene Chestley (friend of the family) on: Mar 24, 2021

We were very saddened to hear of Mr. Binner’s passing. Our family has many fond memories of Rollie and Ev from our Morse Place years and beyond. Hockey with Howie and ringette with Janet brought our families together. It was a magical experience. Rollie was front and center.....laughing and smiling wth kindness and a sincere interest in everyone. Mr. Binner was the ”ringmaster”. Always a joke, compliment, positive attitude, laugh and smile. He had an energy and light that shone from within. May your family take comfort in the Lord’s promise of eternal life. Love and light. - the Tataryn family 🙏🕊 - Posted by: Tataryn family (Lifelong hockey acquaintance ) on: Mar 23, 2021

Dear Ev, Murray, Debbie, and the rest of the Binner Family; We are saddened to hear of the passing of Rollie. We were fortunate to have known Rollie since 2003/2004. He was a kind, generous, and humble man that took an interest in everyone that he met. His quick wit was always something that we looked forward to when we visited Winnipeg. We are grateful for the time that we were able to spend with Rollie and Ev; and cannot begin to imagine the void that he will leave. May you find comfort in the memories that you have of him; and know that everyone that he came in contact with, left feeling a little bit better as he that that type of man. Rollie was such a kind, generous, funny gentleman. He was loved by all of us kids growing up with Murray and Debbie back in our school days. A great father and husband and I’m certain a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. A man of great integrity. Although I have not lived in Winnipeg for many years. The Binner’s have always remained close to my heart. Rest peacefully Rollie. Our love and prayers go out Mrs. Binner, Murray and Debbie and the whole family. Our hearts are breaking to think we won’t see Rollie again to laugh and swap lies with. It’s just a week since we were laughing together as he shared that he had lost so much weight that he kept losing his pants on the way home from the hospital. But, we thank God that we were blessed to have him as our friend for 50 years and to have all the happy memories of times together. Our gatherings were always better when he was a part of them. Those memories will keep him with us forever. Our most sincere condolences to Ev and the entire Binner family. Rest In Peace dear friend and thanks for the memories. - Posted by: Doug and Elinore Loos (Friends ) on: Mar 20, 2021

Dear Ev: I was so saddened to hear of Rollie's passing. He was such an exceptional, kind and loving man. I always felt at ease in his presence, he always made me smile and he most often had a good joke to tell. I sensed that he was always interested in what was happening in my life and truly cared. He was such an honest and sincere man. Rollie and Dad became friends when they were in high school and our two families even lived together for a time, when I was a little girl. I know Dad considered Rollie to be his best friend and St. Patrick's Day was a special day to both of them. Ev, I know that Rollie was your lifelong love and soulmate. You two were such an amazing couple. You were meant to be together and your relationship was such an example to me and I am sure to others. Yours was a beautiful union. It is a blessing that your family was there with Rollie, to send him on his next journey with the knowledge of how much he was loved. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. We were, all, blessed to have Rollie in our lives. Love, Glenda - Posted by: Glenda Kemp (friend) on: Mar 20, 2021

Today I share in your sadness as you grieve the loss of a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed in your family circle. I will miss his friendly smile and warm hugs for the many times I had the opportunity to meet him and share some catch up time on family news. It was always such a pleasure.
