Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWARD: Elliott James "Jim" passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Hillcrest Place Personal Care Home. Jim was born January 24, 1950 in Minnedosa and grew up on the family farm in the Birtle area. After completing school, Jim moved to Thompson and began his career with Inco. It was during this time he met and married his wife Dianne. Upon retirement, Jim and Dianne moved to Brandon and enjoyed life in the Monterey Estates community. Jim wasn't ready for full retirement, so at this time he began working for Sunridge Homes, which he enjoyed, until his health declined. Jim always enjoyed fishing, camping, and snowmobiling. He also loved his winter holidays to Las Vegas. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Dianne; brothers Arnold (Joanne) Ward and Calvin (Liz) Ward; brothers-in-law Dwayne (Val) Zwingli, Doug (Loretta) Zwingli and Don (Debbie) Zwingli; sister-in-law Darlene (Phil) Armbruster; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ross and Mabel Ward; sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Ray Michalko; brother Ronald Ward; parents-in-law Edwin and Lorene Zwingli; and brother-in-law Dennis Zwingli. The family will cherish Jim's memory privately. Donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 1379 Kenaston Blvd, Winnipeg, MB, R3P 2T5 or Hillcrest Place Recreation Fund, 930 26th St, Brandon, MB, R7B 2B8.
