  • To the family and fiancé of Sam Boyce, I am so saddened to learn of Sam's passing. I have such lovely memories of Sam as a student at both John Henderson Junior High and later at Miles Macdonell Collegiate. He was a gentle and caring individual who would go out of his way to demonstrate these same qualities to the students and the teachers with whom he studied. I was always so impressed with his honesty and maturity. His unique sense of humour made me laugh and relax on so many occasions. I remember him as a true joy in the life life of both JH and MMC. A soul such as his will stay in our hearts and thoughts for ever. - Posted by: Vivien Laurie (Principal of John Henderson Junior High and Miles Macdonell High School) on: Apr 17, 2021

  • I knew Sam through church at Abundant Life Lutheran. I spent some time with Sam while he was going through the confirmation program. We had great conversations together about how spirituality connects to our every day life. He was a fun and intelligent guy to be around. We lost connection when he stopped coming to church but I always thought of him when I passed the house and saw his awesome car. My sincerest sympathies, Kyle - Posted by: Kyle Kushnier (Friend) on: Apr 15, 2021

  • It was such heartbreaking news to hear of Sam’s passing. He was a ray of sunshine, a wonderful person, and he will be missed by all those who knew him. He brought care and joy to all. He was always willing to lend a hand. I remember him bringing a giant bag of cream to Chem class (from Tim’s) so we could all make ice cream. To his parents, fiancée, family, and friends, my heartfelt condolences. - Posted by: Stacy Swanson (Teacher ) on: Apr 14, 2021

  • I’d really like to offer my condolences and sympathies to all close to Sam as you’re in my thoughts. Hearing this made me so upset. I met Sam in middle school and he was just one of the kindest people you’d ever encounter. Absolutely unique and special person. I haven’t seen him a few years now but even when I saw him nothing but kindness and endless things to talk about. There is no doubt he will be missed. - Posted by: Alex (School mate) on: Apr 13, 2021
