SHOEMAKER: Larry, age 69 years, passed away suddenly at BRHC with his wife, Lois, and his daughter, Christine, by his side on April 10, 2021. Larry was born in Virden on September 17, 1951, raised in Elkhorn, MB with a very large family, 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Larry met Lois in 1970 after moving to Brandon, MB and married in 1972. In 1976 they welcomed their first son, Scott and their daughter, Christine, in 1981. In 2003 his first and only grandson was born, Ethan, whom he enjoyed spending time with. Larry enjoyed curling, golfing, camping, shuffle board, was an active Army Navy member for many years and was honored with a life time membership. Larry also enjoyed spending time with his family, playing card games. After retiring from The City of Brandon 16 years ago they moved to Oak Lake, MB where they joined a seniors group and enjoyed the convenience of the town golf course. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lois Shoemaker, daughter Christine Shoemaker, and grandson Ethan Shoemaker. He was survived by his family Ron (Verna) Shoemaker, Marylin Shoemaker, Collen Shoemaker, Darlene (Harvey) Bryant, Doug Shoemaker, Richard (Darlene) Shoemaker, Karen (Tom) Rowson, Rodney (Brenda) Shoemaker and Denise (Brad) Sanderson; brother and sister in-laws Bob Allen, Judy (Bob) McKinnon, Roseann (Terry) Gleich, and Ron (Laurie) Allen and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his son Scott in 2016, his mother and father Vera and Lawrence Shoemaker, brothers Dennis and Kenny Shoemaker, sister-in-laws Francis Allen, Wendy Shoemaker and Faye Allen. There will be no funeral service at this time and at later date Larry will be laid to rest at the Hamiota cemetery in the columbarium. Larry will be sadly missed by many family and friends but will always be remembered.

SHOEMAKER: Larry Shoemaker passed away with his wife and daughter by his side at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the age of 69 years. Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lois; daughter, Christine and grandson, Ethan. Larry was predeceased by his son, Scott. At Larry's request there will be no service held.
