FREDERICK: Viola Jean, 1943-2021. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of the most amazing mother in the world. Mom passed away at her home on Monday, March 15, at the age of 78. She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Eva Black, sisters Nora and Isabel, brother Doug and sister-in-law Louise, and brother-in-laws Frank and Andrew. She is survived by her brother Jim, sisters Margaret and Myrna and sister-in-law Ruby. Jean will be lovingly missed by her husband Albert and their children Sheila (Ken), Rodney (Bonita), Troy (Terri), and Teresa (Mike). Grandma will be forever missed by grandchildren Stephanie, Sindy, Ryan, Brooke, Karli, Austin, Regan, Brittany, Alecia, and Jessica; great grandchildren Quary, Anna, Emily, and Jaxon. Mom was born on April 20th 1943, and was raised in the West Two Creeks District. She received her education at West Two Creeks and Miniota schools. After school mom was employed at the Miniota Creamery, Murdoch's Bakery in Virden, as a telephone Operator in Virden, The Clae Marr Inn in Virden, and the Sherwood nursing home in Virden. Mom met her future husband Albert Frederick and they were married August 11, 1962 in Elkhorn United Church. They resided in Elkhorn renting a little house, it was here that they were blessed with a daughter, Sheila Ann. In the spring of 1964, they rented a farm in the West Two Creeks area. In 1965, they purchased a ¼ section of land. Mom and Dad had a lot of fixing up to do before they were able to move in. In 1966, they welcomed their first son Rodney Edward and in 1969 a second son Troy William. In April of 1975, their family was complete welcoming their second daughter Teresa Jean. Their lives got very busy. Many hours and miles were spent taking the kids to their sports and activities. Mom was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 1975. She spent much of her life in and out of the hospital. In 1987 Mom and Dad purchased a farm outside of Virden, a beautiful spot overlooking the valley. When life started to slow down Mom and Dad spent their days enjoying what life had to offer. They started Square and Round dancing, where they met many new friends. They also spent their weekends on trail rides. Mom had a sidekick when they went on their rides, her beloved dog Sven was never far behind. He always loved following mom and her horse Dusty. In the winter months they travelled to Mesa, AZ where they met up with their friends to do another passion they both enjoyed so much together
golfing. The times mom cherished the most is when her home was filled with her grandchildren. Mom treasured her children and grandchildren and she loved every moment that was spent together. Mom was selfless, compassionate, affectionate, and courageous. She was always happy and never showed her pain no matter how she was feeling that day. Mom was the strongest woman I know. She had the greatest sense of humor, always able to bring a smile to faces with her witty sense of humor and her quick comebacks. She always livened up a gathering in the very best way.
We love you mom!
You will always be in
Our Hearts, and one day
we will see you again.
Bye for now
