Gone is the face we loved so dear.
Silent is the voice we loved to hear.

Ron was such a great guy-always available to lend a helping hand - always offering and never asking for anything in return! A kind generous man who shall be missed by many- Condolences to all of the family!! - Posted by: Derek Black (friend from by-gone years) on: Apr 24, 2021

I am sitting here, in White Rock, BC, in a state of disbelief having read of Ron's passing. I cannot begin to tell you how many times in the last 15 years, while visiting Wpg. I had thought of looking Ron up for a visit. Unfortunately I never took the opportunity and now I have regrets for not following through on those intentions. I worked with Ron at the CNR Electric Shop for years. We had many, many, great conversations. I loved to listen to his stories about his soccer refereeing. About his growing up in Scotland and his first years of adjustment to the Wpg way of life. He was a pleasure to be around, a good worker, and a good friend. As your above poem says "Gone, but not forgotten." Ron will be remembered for ever by many people whose hearts he touched. Today, Jane and family, my thoughts are with all of you. - Posted by: Dave Paulusma (Friend and work mate) on: Apr 24, 2021

I met Ron working at CN Rail. We worked side by side for a time in the traction motor shop. He's a lovely person and was always chipper when you met him in and out of work. One of his favourite haunts was Smitty's. We'd see him there occasionally when we went for wing night. We are sorry for your and our loss, He will be thought of and missed. - Posted by: Eric and Colleen Clapham (Co-worker/ friend) on: Apr 24, 2021
