Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • I met Farrell in Mazatlan, Mexico in about 1982. He was my first real love. We dated long distance (me in Southern California) (him in Winnipeg) for about a year. He saved up money to come visit me in California. We eventually realized there was too much distance between us, but remained friends over the years. I hadn't talked to him recently (I'm married now) and just found out he's no longer with us. He was such a big part of my life, and I will always love him. I always thought we would see each other again some day. Now, I guess it will be on the other side. RIP Farrell - Can't wait to see you again! - Posted by: Suzanne Ruzicka-Taketa (Friend (He was my first love!)) on: Jan 16, 2022

  • As I said on FB, my dear Farrell, your smile and joyful “hello” in the halls of Glenlawn made me feel connected to something greater than myself when, often, I felt alone. Over the past five years, you were a source of positivity for me. I hope you are somewhere beautiful; you deserve to be… - Posted by: Dana Hangle (Friend) on: May 18, 2021

  • Farrell and I shared the same birthday, August 23rd and every year I got a special Facebook birthday message from him. We joked back and forth how it is the best day and anyone born on that day must be special! He was definitely a special person in many people’s eyes. I loved how he proclaimed his faith to others! You are in your Father’s arms now Farrell, RIP. - Posted by: Linda Schwindt Maretz (Friend) on: May 04, 2021

  • I knew Farrell and Henry when we were young, growing up in St. Vital. We had a lot of good times. I remember Farrell as being such a smart and well spoken guy. An all around good natured man. I'm sorry he's gone and I'm sorry for his family. Rest in Peace boys. - Posted by: Karla Elcock (Old friend) on: May 01, 2021

  • I went to school with Farrell at Windsor in St. Vital. Back in grade 7 we even dated for a time. He was a great friend all through school until I went to another school in a different area of St. Vital. We lost touch of the years but then bumped into each other years later at Springs Church. We chatted, caught up and shared some funny stories. Although we had lost touch again, I still considered him a friend and will cherish the memories and photos I have from our youth. My deepest condolences to his family and I know he now soars with angels and his heart has wings. Rest easy Farrell. - Posted by: Jackie Odway (Friend) on: Apr 27, 2021

  • I have known Farrell for as long as I can remember and he was a beautiful guy. I know he had his struggles but he owned every one of them and always sought to improve. He was fiercely loyal and his big laugh was contagious. You always knew that he would be there for you if you asked. Rest my friend! Godspeed my friend! Love you bro - Posted by: Douglas Bowes (Friend) on: Apr 27, 2021

  • I know you are with your savior Farrell. Going to miss you but I know we will meet again. You were a good man but had some flaws as we all do. I leave you with words from one hymn: Jesus paid it all All to him I owe Sin had left a crimson stain He washed it white as snow. Will miss you dearly - Posted by: Tony McGill (Friend of Farrell, Jesus and Bill W.) on: Apr 27, 2021
