Henry and I were first acquainted and became friends at the age of 5 while attending St. Marks Anglican Church kindergarten. I remember walking the long St. Mary’s backlane home together. Back in 69, you could let 5 year olds walk home alone without worries. One early morning I went to his house down the street to see if he wanted to play. He was very excited to see I had come to play. Years later, I smashed one of my front teeth out on the school ground monkey bars. I ran to Henry’s house where I was comforted til my father came to get me. I learned how to play crib and not take myself so seriously from Henry and his family. One of the most important lessons I needed to learn in life. Again, years later, when Henry and I were 21, we hooked up and shared an apartment together. After burning many bridges we decided to jump on a train and escape out west. We arrived in Calgary, and stayed at the single men's hostel until we were able to generate enough funds and continue our travel to Vancouver. Over the course of our lives there were times Henry and I were like brothers to each other. RIP Henry. Leon - Posted by: Leon (Friends ) on: Apr 29, 2021

Henry played defence for the St. Vital Victorias. Henry played a strong effective style that can best be described as protection. He was a quiet spirit with a big heart and was counted on to protect both his end of the ice and his teammates. Henry played a clean game and only had to give his patented glare to get his point across to opposing players. He will be missed. - Posted by: Rob Reid (Friend) on: Apr 27, 2021
