KERNEL: Andrew Joseph "Andy" Kernel of Virden, Manitoba passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the age of 79 years. Andy is survived by his wife Marlene; sons Ray and Rick (Cindy Mathe), grandson Damian and Cori Stendall, great granddaughter Charlie and great grandson Oliver, grandson Brendon McConnell and Chelsea Carroll; daughter Lisa (Rob) Gilliland and granddaughters Ashton, Andi and Abbi. He is also survived by his sister Denise Vodon, brother George (Edna) Kernel, sister-in-law Bertha Kernel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Due to Covid 19 restrictions on gathering size, a service for Andy will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Virden Cemetery. For those who so desire, memorial tributes may be made to Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Andy.
