It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Melvin Sanderson on May 15, 2021 at the age of 59 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
He was much more than a father, brother, grandfather, uncle and cousin to many of us; he was an amazing man, always so caring, loving, helpful, thoughtful, genuine, devoted and always wanted to help and support in any way he could. For that his life has imprinted on many hearts and left us with many grateful memories. Those memories will forever be cherished and never forgotten.
He leaves behind to mourn: his daughters, Valencia (Jeff) and Linzy (Rick); grandchildren, Dustin and Daisy; Dominick and Kayden; four brothers, Selwyn (Virginia), Glenn (Brenda), Nelson (Nancy) and Ramsey (Pat); five sisters, Vivian, Laura (Oliver), Edith (Charlie), Doreen (Mike) and Yvonne (Gerry); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Melvin was predeceased by the love of his life Dinah; his mother Christina; father Roland; brother Andy; sister Carol; nephews, Monty, Melvin and Byron and brother-in-law Don Olsen.
Private funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Anderson Family Funeral Home, 9 Railway Avenue, Ashern, Manitoba.
Viewing will follow at the St. Helen's Cemetery, Fairford, Manitoba at 4:00 p.m. for family and friends, followed by the interment.
