Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCURRAH: Lola Roberta (nee Bryce) passed away June 19, 2021, at Valleyview Personal Care Home, Brandon, MB at the age of 98. Lola was born January 19, 1923, to Frank and Emma Bryce at Foam Lake, SK. At the age of four Lola's mother died and she and her sister went to live with her grandparents in Saskatoon. When Lola was eleven, she moved to Strathclair, MB to live with her father and three brothers (Clair, Glen and Cecil) and her sister Ethel. Lola married Russell Currah on January 12, 1943. They were blessed with nine children; Gwen Taylor, Carson (Anne) Currah, Audrey (Everett) Gurr, Barb (Darrell) Knight, Carman (Elaine) Currah, Clayton (Bev) Currah, Veva Currah, Greg (Lettie) Currah and Kenneth Vincent Currah (died at birth). Lola was always so proud of her 19 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Lola and Russell spent the majority of their married life in Strathclair and Hamiota. Several years after Russell passed away on July 18th, 1997, Lola moved to Lion's Manor in Brandon where she lived for 10 years and then moved to Valleyview Personal Care Home 5 years ago. There she received wonderful care from amazing and loving staff for which the family is forever grateful. Valleyview's in-house cat Rudy was Lola's closest and inseparable furry friend during her time there. He loved to curl up with her and was a wonderful companion to Lola. Lola will be lovingly remembered by her family for her endless love and generosity. A private graveside service will be held June 26th at the Strathclair Cemetery.
