NADIA STEFANIA BOSAK
(nee KRAWCHUK)
January 8, 1930 - June 22, 2021
She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Theodore (Ted) Bosak, her parents, Nicholas and Eva Krawchuk, and her brother Walter. She will be dearly missed by daughter Susan Bosak, son Douglas Bosak, and son-in-law Brian Puppa. She is also survived by nephews/niece, Nick Krawchuk, Donna-Lee Strutinsky, Gary Krawchuk and their families in Winnipeg.
Nadia was born in Winnipeg on January 8, 1930, living much of her life proudly in the North End before moving to the Toronto area to be closer to her children in her later years. She was one of the first women in her family to receive a degree from the University of Manitoba. She was an accomplished sewer, making both practical and fashion items for family and friends; one of her favourite places in the world was a fabric store. For a brief time after graduating, she lived in Toronto and worked for Simplicity, travelling throughout Ontario giving sewing presentations. When she returned to Winnipeg, she worked at the Children's Aid Society and Red Cross before the birth of her children. She was an avid reader, had a quick wit with a mischievous sense of humour, and had a strong, independent spirit. As we travelled with her through her dementia journey, she taught us so much, giving us as much as we gave her. We love you, Mom - and don't you ever forget it.
Nadia's wish was to be cremated, with just immediate family to reflect on her passing.
Condolences and remembrances may be sent to Susan Bosak, 20200 Marsh Hill Road, Uxbridge, ON L9P 1R3.

I am so sorry to read of Mrs. Bosak's passing. My dad, brother and I used to cut grass for the Bosak's when they lived on Scotia. Both Ted and Nadia treat my brother and I like their own grandchildren. Always making sure we had drinks and snacks while our dad cut the grass. Giving us $5.00 on our birthdays. They were such a sweet old couple. May she rest in peace and rejoin Mr. Bosak. - Posted by: Becky Okrainec (Family Friend) on: Jun 29, 2021

I've known Nadia "Nana" since 2009. I did enjoy her funny sense of humor and lovely memories / stories of her childhood. She loved to watch old black and white movies. She shared lots of laughter and jokes. She loved to hug and chat. It is too hard to see the disease take away those nature from her, but until to the last breath she was so nice and lovely lady as she was from the time I first met her. We are so privileged to become part of her journey, even my girls loved her so so much. We love you Nana. You will be forever in our hearts (ARIA). To Susan, Douglas and Brian, thank you all for all the care, love, sacrifices you rendered on her. You've done more than the best doctors, nurses or any health practitioners can do. Our condolences to all of you. - Posted by: REBECCA DELEON (Caregiver ) on: Jun 26, 2021
