GREGORY CHARLES PORTEOUS
May 23, 1951 - June 21, 2021
Greg is survived by sisters: Sandy (Tony), Val (Kevin), Maureen, Deanna (Aurele), Karen (Don) and Donna (Danny), as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Greg was predeceased by his parents, Corinne and Cliff and his brother Ray who he missed dearly.
Greg had a great sense of humour and never complained. Greg enjoyed watching golf, the Jets, the Bombers and old classic movies. He loved playing pool, cards and was great at cribbage. He enjoyed playing jokes, teasing and bugging his family and friends.
We would like to thank everyone who cared for Greg. His cousin Lloyd and Gayle who always made time to visit with him. Thank you to Kathy in home care, Dr. J. Elkin, 3E Palliative care and a special thank you to Dr. Homik for his personal phone call with our brother, it meant a lot to Greg and his sisters.
As per Greg's wishes cremation has taken place and a family gathering will take place at a later date.

I don’t know if this was same Greg Porte it’s I know was a child. He was dating my oldest cousin and who at the time had a farm. She gave birth to his son Jade whom she raised on her own. I remember going there as either a child or early teen and riding on the tractor and also my brother and I were given chicks by my aunts bf at time which we couldn’t keep in city so we gave them to Greg. (Unless this is a different or wrong Greg) my cousin Debbie died last year and none of my cousins even told or let my family know she died or how she died. It was all pretty weird! I am sorry to hear of Greg’s passing and pass on my sincere Condolences to all of his family!! - Posted by: Sharilee (Unknown) on: Feb 15, 2025
