CATHRINE RUTH MCLEOD
November 17, 1937 - July 31, 2021
Cathrine was predeceased by her parents, Ivy and Gordon McLeod.
Cathrine is survived by her brother James and wife Iris, and cousin Jean Eve Mark.
Cathrine was born in Winnipeg. She attended Tech Voc School and on graduation, immediately started working for Western Savings and Loan, who were eventually bought out by Great West Life. Her entire career was with this company. She became one of their top accountants, head supervisor and made many friends there.
Cathrine was a lifetime member of Atlantic Avenue United Church, making many more friends there. She made numerous donations to a multitude of organizations.
Her greatest enjoyment was world travel to Europe, Australia and New Zealand where she made many friends. She also visited her grandparent's homeland numerous times, the Isle of Man, where she befriended numerous different distant relatives.
Funeral service will take place on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
Unfortunately most her friends have predeceased her, but new friends and family will sadly miss her.

We were lifelong friends of Cathy. She was a very lovely gracious and giving person. Loved the Xmas Eve dinners with 'the gang'. As like us Cathy was an animal lover and always had her beloved cats.
