LIVINGSTON: Stanley Allen Livingston, age 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Carberry, MB on August 17, 2021. He is survived by his lifetime partner Jaye Jacobson (daughters Nici and Shawna); his older sister Jean Johnston and his niece Glenda (Chris) Chorney. He was predeceased by his parents Edith and Stanley Livingston; his brother Alvin (Marj) Livingston; and his brother-in-law Lyall Johnston. Stan was born and raised in Nesbitt, MB where he attended and graduated grade school early, and continued his education with a Bachelor of Science at U of M and a Bachelor of Education at BU. He started his teaching career when he was 17 and began teaching at Carberry Collegiate High School when he was 19 years old until he retired at age 63. He was an avid historian and collected Manitoba history books and maps. He also spent a lifetime tracing his family history and their involvement in WWI and WWII. He enjoyed travel, gardening, reading history, Wheat King games, current events, and "coffee time". A casual outdoor service will be held in Stan's backyard 424 1st Ave., Carberry, MB on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Stan's memory may be made to the Carberry and area Foundation.
