MARIE THERESE O'ROURKE
May 29, 1937 – August 15, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce that on August 15, 2021, Marie, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the St. Boniface hospital in Winnipeg after a sudden illness.
A Funeral Mass for Marie will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vital Parish, 1639 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, with Father Mark A. Tarrant officiating.
A celebration of Marie's life will follow on the same day at 11:00 a.m. at Patrick and Marie's residence.

  • On behalf of myself & my mom Ruby McCormick, we extend our sincerest condolences to Pat & family while we remember this beautiful woman, our old friend Marie, who we got to know well during my reign as Miss Ireland at Folklorama’s Irish pavilion. Her warmth, kindness, grace, and humour touched us like a magical Irish wand. My late father Barrie shared many treasured moments also with Marie & Pat.
