BRADLEY: Stephen Erwin Bradley, of Oak Lake, passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at the Souris Health Centre on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the age of 75 years. Steve was born on June 13, 1946 in Grande Ligne, Quebec to Margaret Bradley (née Paradis). Raised by his mother and father Hugh Bradley, he attended school in Quebec and Saskatchewan. In 1961, the family moved from Togo, Saskatchewan to Oak Lake, Manitoba. Steve worked with his father there, where he learned many carpentry skills. He worked at Princess Auto in Winnipeg and at lumber camps in British Columbia and Wheat City Roofing. He began working with the Manitoba Department of Highways in 1968. He operated the mobile sweeper, graders, snow plows, and then ran the oil distributor for 20 years. He operated the low bed machine for the last 17 years, until he retired on December 31, 2007. Steve loved to ride his motorcycle, listen to country music, attend car shows and drive the skidoo, hunting deer and ice fishing on the lake. He always liked to be kept busy. Family and friends remember his generosity, teasing, playing cards and pool and attending concerts with him. He enjoyed helping his friends at harvest time. He loved to go on trips with his wife Iris. Steve married Iris Anne Mychasiw from Oakburn, Manitoba on October 14, 1972. She was the love of his life. Steve was predeceased by his parents and his wife Iris. He is survived by siblings: Helen (Merlin) McMurray; David (Gayle) Bradley and Shirley White; as well as his nieces and nephews. A private Graveside Service was held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens on Saturday, August 7, 2021 where Steve was laid to rest alongside his wife, Iris. Steve's memory lives on in his family and friends whose lives he has touched. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
