MacDONALD: Bruce (Duncan Bruce), CGA, CPA. Bruce passed away in the early hours of August 19, 2021 at home in Burlington, Ontario. He will be missed terribly by his wife Norma Gibson-MacDonald and his sons Ian (Sarah) and Reid (Ashley). Bruce was born in Carberry MB, the son of Neil MacDonald and Velma Harburn. In 1972 he came to Ontario to attend the University of Western Ontario where he met Norma. They were married for almost 46 years. Bruce was the proud grandfather of Rory, Henry, Sloane and Peter. In memory of Bruce donations to the Royal Botanical Gardens or a charity of your choice would be very much appreciated.

  • Hi Norma and family, So very sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing. I am the daughter of Foster and Phyllis Harburn from the Brookdale/Carberry community in Manitoba. I was very young but can remember playing Blind Mans Bluff in Grandma Harburns front yard with my sibs and Bruce. We have a few old pics that keep some memories going. Wish we’d had more connection over the years but that was not to be. Mom (turning 91) is so grateful that his notice was put in the Brandon Sun. Thank you for that.
