CRANG: It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Irene Frances Crang, 84 years old. (Not Covid related.) Her family was by her side on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Born and raised in Brandon, MB, daughter of the late Robert and Elspith Denbow and was the youngest of five children. Irene met the love of her life, Jim Crang and they wed on July 10, 1957. Irene filled many roles throughout her full life, hairdresser, insurance and general store owner, and owner of The Shilo Inn, to name a few, all with her loving husband Jim. Irene was a hard worker but more than anything she lived for her family and community, being a large part of helping grow the community of Sprucewoods. She was an avid reader, cook and baker, and loved her gardening. She loved her grandchildren and great grand children dearly, and although some lived farther away, she valued every moment she had with them. She is survived by her husband Jim; sons Jim (Sheri), Scott (Charlene), and Mark (Nicole) Crang; grandchildren Jessica, Dustin, Jimmi, Shannon, Cordell and Shawn Crang, and great grandchildren Joey, Izsaac, Findlater, and Dustin Jr, and also her siblings Yvonne Mitchell, Bill Denbow, and Jack Denbow. Irene was predeceased by her son Keith Crang, and brother Allan Denbow. The family would like to thank the staff at the Assiniboine Centre and Brandon Regional Health Centre for the care and comfort they provided during her time there. The Funeral Service will take place at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with The Rev. Jonathan Hoskin of St. George's Anglican Church officiating.
