BAMFORD: Michelle Kristen Bamford passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 4, 2021, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was in St. Boniface Hospital being treated for pulmonary blood clots and died there from cardiac arrest. She was 47. She leaves behind Berkley Barnard, her partner of 20 years; her mother Jane Spencer of Guelph; her father Robert Bamford and his wife, Leslie of Kitchener. Also missed by her brother Cory and his wife Rene Morrow; her sister Kristen and her husband Rodger Eyre; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. And of course, her puppy Knut. Predeceased by her sister Carolyn (April 2021); her stepdad Larry Morrow (January 2015) and her beloved dogs Schultz and Parker. She loved dogs and was dedicated to helping stray or lost dogs get returned to a loving home. Michelle was born in Toronto in 1973. She lived and went to school in Waterloo and later in Guelph. A new adventure called her and Berk to Brandon, Manitoba in the spring of 2001. There they found a new family of friends...working, playing baseball, golfing, and supporting local industries, especially in taverns! Michelle had a lifelong love of dancing, always supporting dance studios with jazz, modern and belly dancing lessons. Michelle loved roller coasters - the higher and scarier the better. That sense of adventure inspired her to seek out new places and to try new things and will continue to inspire those who knew her well to do the same. She had a generous spirit and loved life. Michelle's family stretched from Newfoundland and Nova Scotia to Northern Ontario, Ottawa, Guelph, Waterloo and beyond. We will all miss her fabulous laugh that came from deep inside her soul. Cremation has taken place. Her final resting place will be in Guelph, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Humane Society or Pet Rescue.
