DARCY FRANCIS SPENCE
Darcy leaves behind to mourn his wife of 22 years, Sharon Dainard; sons, Tyler Robinson (Amanda), Tyson Spence (Sofia) and Alexander Spence (Tiara); sisters, Kathleen Spence, Delacy Spence (Aaron), and Natasha Spence (Mike), "brother" Mickey Kematch (Crystal); brothers-in-law, Chris Dainard (Monika Churak) and Stacy Dainard (Jennifer Rattray); father-in-law Glen Dainard (Heather); nieces, Latasha Spence and Ashley Termath, nephews, Brandon Spence-Termath, Tristan Dainard, Jakob Dainard, Dominik Dainard, Maksim Dainard, Erik Dainard and Mason Spence; along with numerous other relatives and many friends.
Darcy was a family man 110% and his sons were his entire world and focus. There was nothing more important than taking Alex to his many sports, ju jit su, boxing, judo or watching Tyson and Tyler playing football. He never missed Tyson's Pirates football practices and games or watching his Valley games on TV. He was so proud of Tyler for completing his training in the army. He was an extremely dedicated husband always driving his wife Sharon back and forth to her numerous medical appointments. He was supportive in her goals of university and different interests. He was always rooting on his nieces and nephews in their activities and interests.
Darcy was a very funny guy while at the same time seemingly serious and there are countless stories of his humour, jokes and pranks that were also reminiscent of his beloved father. He cared deeply for his three sisters, mother and his "brother" Mickey. He loved working out in his homemade garage gym and his new beloved activity was playing slow-pitch on three separate teams. Darcy worked in the pest control industry for the last 15 years owning and operating his own company, Spence Pest Control for the last nine years. He worked extremely hard, and his knowledge and expertise will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers are Tyler Robinson, Tyson Spence, Alexander Spence, Mickey Kematch, Brandon Spence-Termath, and Tristan Dainard. Honorary pallbearers are Jakob Dainard, Dominik Dainard, Maksim Dainard, Erik Dainard and Mason Spence.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Darcy may be made to Bear Clan Patrol.

I was reminiscing about a bible camp I went to as a kid. I remembered Darcy Spence who was in my cabin. So I looked up his name on Google. I was sad to see he had passed. I offer my condolences to his family. I remember him being a funny guy, amateur boxer and kinda rowdy which I liked. We had gone to the Morris stampede and were walking about and Darcy told us he was going to pick a fight with four Cowboys. He walked over to them and we thought he was actually going to do it. Then he came back and said, I just asked them what time it was psyche! That's what I remember about Darcy from camp. Fun guy. God bless - Posted by: Steve (Darcy was in my cabin at camp Seton when we were 15) on: Nov 25, 2023

I just learned of Darcy's passing today, and am sad and shocked. Condolences to his family and friends. I worked with him @ JET equipment and tools for a bit, he also came out and tried Wasps Rugbty for a short while. I'll Never forget the time we went and saw Ozzy Osborne together. It was the only concert that Ozzy brought out the harmonica to play "the Wizard". We had an absolute blast and a ton of laughs. Whenever our paths crossed felt like time never passed. See you in heaven.... - Posted by: Scott Charney (Co-worker) on: Oct 31, 2023

Darcy, will not be forgotten. A true family man who was specially proud of his boys. I first met Darcy when I was working for GEL Tools, and he was working Jet Tools. When Jet bought GEL, Darcy was the first to approach me and introduced himself. Very kind and thoughtful willing to lend a helping hand. Over a period time got to know each other, and talk about our families. Darcy was always interested in family talk. As family was most important to him. Darcy was also a fun guy to be around, ....taught us all in the warehouse how to play chess. I remember many lunch hours having chess matches with Darcy fellow workers. Though we lost touch over the years, l was saddened to hear about your passing. My prayers are with Sharon and the boys. You will be missed. - Posted by: Rocky Burr (Old co-worker ) on: Sep 22, 2021

I have known Darcy for 15 years from the pest control business. There was never a time he would say "I can't help you" he always said "no problem what ever you need it will be done" and yes it was done. Darcy will be truly missed, to his family sorry for your loss. Just remember to take one day at a time, one inch at a time, you have memories that will never leave you. RIP Darcy .........
