AUDREY JEAN MORRISON
Audrey is survived by her husband Glen, children, Gavin, Colin (Sarah) and Tracey (Ralph), grandchildren, Erica and Ryan, and sister Sharon (Bill).
Audrey was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on October 17, 1938. She grew up in Regina and while attending Central Collegiate she was selected to sing in the Saskatchewan Jubilee Choir. She followed her sister Lorraine into the Nursing Program at Winnipeg Children's Hospital and graduated as a Registered Nurse (RN) in 1962. She met her future husband Glen at her graduation, and they were married December 5, 1964. She continued working at Children's Hospital and left work as Supervisor of Central Supply to raise her family of three. She enjoyed music and continued her piano studies for many years.
The family began camping across Western Canada in increasingly larger campers until finally settling into West Hawk Lake where they camped each year. Camping life included beach time and nightly campfires with many friends. That was an enjoyable part of her life. When Glen retired, they fulfilled a lifelong dream to purchase a cottage on Penniac Bay at West Hawk Lake and settled in to enjoy retired life. Summers at West Hawk Lake were followed by winters in Mexico where the last 10 years were spent at a Mazatlan condo. Every day started with a walk around the property to see the fish and the "white bird".
Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at 4 North Victoria Hospital for their care and kindness during Audrey's stay at the hospital.
