MARY PETRYCIA
July 3, 1948 – November 6, 2020

On October 19, 2021, Mary's remains were laid to rest alongside those of her parents, Anne and John, in a private ceremony at Brandon Cemetery, officiated by Fr. John and Roxiliana Mostivsky.
Mary is lovingly remembered as a supportive wife, daughter, sister and friend. Mary had an engaging personality, unabashedly inquisitive and genuinely interested in learning about people and their lives. Mary nurtured her relationships with family and her many long-time friends, phoning to catch up, meeting for lunches and with cards and gifts on birthdays and anniversaries. Not a demonstrative person, Mary instead gave unselfishly and cheerfully, with both hands, her time and energy to help family and friends.
Mary is remembered for her optimistic approach to living, never taking herself too seriously, and, as she often said, refusing to go to the darkest place even when the prospects were bleak.
