RONALD GARY FROOM
Ron was born in Greenridge, Manitoba in 1933. After time spent in other areas of Manitoba, at the age of 13 his family returned to the Greenridge area to start farming. Ron farmed with his Dad and then took over the farm with his wife Lorraine. His farming career included grain farming, breeding purebred Holsteins and raising beef cattle as he continued to develop and improve their farmland. He felt lucky he was able to devote his life to what he loved best, family and farming. He was a strong man with bear-size hands and a hard worker. Growing up on the farm there was no time to sit around, and both Ron and Lorraine worked very hard together side by side raising their family. When they retired to Emerson, youngest son Dennis took over the farm. Ron was a man that never held back his opinion or sharing his thoughts. He loved Lorraine's passion for cooking and he was truly spoiled with home cooked meals and fabulous desserts. He never left the table without having dessert. He was quick witted and had a good sense of humour, enjoyed dancing, playing the violin, any card game, and he was also a keen pool player and avid golfer in his retirement years. He was supportive to many and always willing to help family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no service.
