Shirley was five years older and lived on the other side of town, but growing up in the same community I got to know her. I would sometimes walk my blind afi (grandfather) to my auntie Steina's for coffee and always passed by the Nordal home, so we would stop to visit. Such a gracious family, always welcoming and friendly. Throughout her life Shirley never failed to be the same sociable person I knew as a child. It was always a joy to cross paths with her. My deepest condolences to her family and to her siblings. May all those wonderful memories of your mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend sustain you in your grief. Sincerely, Alfreda - Posted by: Alfreda Duffy (Friend) on: Dec 17, 2021

I remember most Aunt Shirl's infectious laugh; and always trying to learn something new. She will be missed. Condolences to all her family - Posted by: Joyce Ann McGregor (Niece) on: Dec 13, 2021

I met Shirley four years ago, shortly after I moved to Winnipeg from the West Coast, when she contacted me about taking lessons in the Alexander Technique (an educational process that explores how we can learn to move with greater ease). We developed a wonderful friendship and had many conversations over those years about a rich variety of shared interests. I came to know Shirley as a strong, vibrant and unique individual who was devoted to her family and dedicated to many ways of supporting her well being. She had the most delightful laugh and I shall remember it always. My heartfelt condolences to all those who knew and loved her. - Posted by: Pamela Jeffrey (Friend) on: Dec 11, 2021
