PADDOCK: Sarah Darleen Winnifred (nee Mitchell), age 83 years, beloved wife of Wes, passed away at Valleyview Personal Care Home on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Darleen was born on November 8, 1938 in Shoal Lake, Manitoba. One of three daughters, Joyce, Darleen and Eleanor, born to Alfred and Sarah Mitchell. She grew up on a farm in Rossburn, Manitoba while completing her education at Rossburn School followed by her teaching certificate at Brandon College. Besides working on the farm throughout her life, Darleen taught at Robinville and Little Souris. She was involved with Zion and Bethel Church, the Hospital Guild, and Kid's camp. Gardening, cooking and baking were favourite pastimes. Darleen was predeceased by her son Ross, parents Alfred and Sarah Mitchell, and sister Joyce (Don) Hart. Darleen will be lovingly remembered by her husband Wes Paddock, daughter Brenda (Rick) and their children Owen and Elayna Paddock Thiessen, son Glenn (Marina) and children Benjamin, David, Joel, Kelsa, and Olivia Paddock, and her sister Eleanor Fast. A private Celebration of Darleen's Life will take place. The family invites you to watch the recording of the service, which will be made available on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 on Darleen's memorial page at www.memorieschapel.com. Darleen will be laid to rest at Rivers Cemetery. Pallbearers are Owen Paddock Thiessen, Benjamin, David and Joel Paddock, Darran Paddock and Brent Hart. Donations in memory of Darleen may be made to Manhattan Beach Retreat Centre, Box 62, Ninette, Manitoba, R0K 1R0.
