Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARCE: Margaret Dorothy (nee Birch) passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, December 25, 2021. Marg was born March 14, 1940, second daughter to Sidney and Rosetta Birch in Kellwood, Manitoba, where she spent most of her younger years growing up. Marg later moved to Brandon, where she met the love of her life, Gordon Pearce. Marg and Gordon were married on August 20, 1960 and lived in the Brandon area. They later moved to Rapid City, where they raised their three daughters, Terry, Tracey and Tanis. Marg and Gordon were very involved in the small community and were very proud to cheer their daughters on in whichever sport they signed up for. Marg began her working career working at Metropolitan Store in Brandon, JLA Foods in Brandon, Simpson's Grocery Store in Rapid City and then moved on to work for Prairie Mountain Health, where she worked in housekeeping, dietary aide and nurse's aide at both the Brandon Mental Health Centre and Rideau Park Personal Care Home. Margaret's proudest accomplishments were her family and watching her girls grow up and then welcoming her three sons-in-law, Albert Bruun (Terry), Ron Heap (Tracey) and Brad Dixon (Tanis). Marg then became a proud grandmother to her eight grandchildren, Jordan (Amanda), Geoff and Jarred (Rachael) Smith, Tyrel and Makayla Heap, Britney (Jeremy Kaskiw), Jensen (Bryce White) and Kara Dixon. Marg and Gordon travelled to many places cheering on their grandkids and supported them in all that they did. Marg also became a proud great-grandmother to her six great-grandchildren, Xander, Zain, Peighton and Emerson, as well as Brynlee and Krew. Marg always looked forward to the many family functions her family spent together: celebrating Christmases, birthdays, anniversaries or "just because" get togethers. Marg and Gordon made many memories travelling and camping with family and friends. Marg is survived by her family, as well as her sisters Madeline Bishop and Judy Lobin and her brothers-in-law Allan, Ed (Sigrid), Barry (Marie) and Ken (Anita) Pearce. Marg was predeceased by the love of her life Gordon Alexander Pearce, parents Sidney and Rosetta Birch, parents-in-law Jean and Tom Pearce, brothers-in-law Doug Pearce and George Bishop, sisters-in law Evelyn Elder and Gladys Pearce and sisters Elizabeth Birch and Phyllis Vidomski. A small family service was held for Marg on December 31, 2021 at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marg may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Box 20077 Brandon South Post Office, Brandon Manitoba, in honour of her granddaughter and great-grand-son. Marg's family would like to thank everyone for all their support, kind thoughts as well as cards and flowers.
