MARION DZENDZARA
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Marion Dzendzara on January 28, 2022, with her two sons at her side.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Kevin (Charleen) and Blaine (Kelly); grandchildren, Ella, Zachary and Matea; sister Viola; brothers, Theodore and Alvin. Marion was predeceased by her brother Orville.
Marion was born and raised in the Interlake and called Ashern her home. While growing up on the farm, she learned the value of hard work which she displayed throughout her life. Marion was small in stature but big in spirit. She was close with her family, especially to her mother Jane, which made leaving difficult. Eventually she moved to Winnipeg, where she would meet her husband and raise her two children. She kept close ties with family and friends from the country and returned to visit whenever she could.
In 1963, Marion met the love of her life Oscar and were married three years later. Over the next 48 years of marriage, they lived in North Kildonan and raised their two boys. She was the rock of the family and took the best care of the three men in her life without complaining. If they were happy, she was happy. She loved spending time with her family but also her many friends.
In the years after Oscar's passing, Marion moved from the family home to an apartment that they picked out prior to his passing. She was independent and made the best of it, but still loved to entertain family and friends. Most important were the visits from her grandchildren. She was extremely proud and did everything she could to spoil them. She loved spending time with them and finding out what was going on in their lives. It is sad to see her time with her grandchildren end, but she left them with many fond memories.
The final years of Marion's life were drastically changed with the pandemic. Her time alone led to thoughts of her beloved Oscar. She was at peace when she passed, knowing that she would see him again. We are saddened to see her pass, but know that she is in a better place with the love of her life. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
A private service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home to pay respect to Marion.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.

Kevin,Blaine and family We were so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. We just found out today as her neighbor next door asked if I had spoken to Marion because she called at Christmas and her phone was not in service anymore. Marion and myself had so many good laughs. We walked over to each others place about five or six times a day. Marion was taking me to the childrens doctor and went through a red light and what do you think. We got a ticket. She was a very comical person and her family was very precious to her. Sorry Kevin and Blaine that we are so late with our condolences. May they both rest in peace (mom and dad). - Posted by: Mike and Shirley Kowalchuk (Crazy neighbours two doors down) on: May 22, 2022

I was saddened to hear of the passing of my lifelong friend. Marion and I became friends in 1956 and remained lifelong friends. Marion inherited the kindness of her parents, and many a weekend I spent on the farm at the family home. Her husband Oscar and her two sons were her life, and later the grandkids were her pride and joy. It is rare that one finds a friend as loyal, kind and understanding as Marion. I was blessed to have her as my best friend for so many, many years. Kevin and Blaine, my heart goes out to you and your family, at this stressful time. Your mother was very, very proud of both you boys and her grandchildren. Rest In Peace my dear, dear friend. - Posted by: Donna Barnes Caister (Friend) on: Feb 12, 2022

I remember Marion from my early childhood days. Marion and Oscar were dear friends of my Aunt Janet and Uncle Jack, so throughout the years they attended many dinners, weddings, showers etc with our family. Both Marion & Oscar were always happy to see you and welcome you with a hug and something to eat or drink. Sending my deepest condolences to both Kevin and Blane and their families on the passing of such a wonderful lady. - Posted by: Dana Campbell Valente (Extended family friend) on: Feb 09, 2022

Dear Kevin, Blaine and families. We are very saddened to hear of your dear mom's passing. Her devotion to your Dad and you both, was her number one priority and she was very proud of you. When the grandchildren were born, your mom called Barb and I and she was excited and thrilled to be a grandmother. May God bless you all and comfort you at this sad time.
