RONELDA SOPHIE MACLENNAN (RUCHOTZKE)
January 29, 1935 - January 30, 2022

Mom passed away at the Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home in Winnipeg after a lengthy battle with Dementia, and finally, very quickly from complications of Covid.
She is predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Olga; brother Elmer (Fran); sister Elma (Hector); father and mother-in-law, Angus and Victoria; brother-in-law Alex (Pearl); sisters-in-law, Helen (Ralph), Ann (Bill) and nephews, Donald and Kerry.
She is survived by her husband Don; children, Don (Judy), Lori (Walt) and Cheryl (Dennis); daughter-in-law Charlotte; grandchildren, Aaron (Nicole), Carly (Steve), Caitlin (Michael), Mitchel (Claire), Taylor (Sam) and Hailey; great-grandchildren, Cairo, Bode, Ford, Kaia and Harvey; sister Rita (Gus) and brother-in-law Lorne (Dorothy).
Mom was born and raised in Ashern, MB on the family farm. After high school, she worked at the CIBC in Ashern where she met her husband Don. They married in August 1955 and shortly after, moved to Thunder Bay, ON. In 1972, they moved to Winnipeg and she went back to work at the CIBC until both Don and her retired in 1996.
Mom's entire life circled around family and friends, but her passion was her children and grandchildren. Mom was a country girl through and through and could always be found helping family and friends and, even in her late 70s, would be seen driving a tractor and cutting hay for days on end! She was known for being able to cook up an unbelievable meal at the drop of a hat and for always having some delicious baking just coming out of the oven.
We will never forget what an amazing wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend she was. She was such an important part of our lives and we are all blessed for knowing her love.
We would like to thank the staff at the Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home for all the love and care they gave our mother during her last years.
A small memorial service will be held in Ashern at a later date, where she will be laid to rest beside her parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
