WILLIAM (BILL) CHUBATY
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts the family announces the passing of William (Bill) Chubaty at Concordia Hospital on Sunday, February 6, 2022.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Helen of 63 years; daughter Debbie (Wayne); sons, Ken (Joanna) and Mark; grandchildren, Jenna, Brendan, Jon, Steven, Amanda, Josh, Jesse, Megan and step-grandchild Viktor; great- grandchildren, Kailee, Jack, Reanne, Sophie, Mylo and Makai; four sisters; two brothers and numerous in-laws and their families along with many dear friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, in-laws, three brothers, two sisters, three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
Bill was born in Stuartburn, MB on May 20, 1936. He grew up on his parents farm. When he moved to Winnipeg, he worked at Paulin Chambers for over 30 years as a candy maker and later as a Supervisor. He made many lifelong friends at Paulins.
Dad enjoyed fishing, camping, curling, bowling, building and renovating, spending time with family and travelling. He was truly a sun worshipper and many vacations were spent in Hawaii and Mexico. Mom and dad spent many years at their trailer biking, enjoying nature and each other's company.
Mom and dad are long standing members of All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, where dad proudly served as Elder, Palomar, President and was a member of the Order of St. Andrews. His church and church family meant the world to him.
A small restricted private family service will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Due to covid restrictions, in-person attendance will be limited to private invite only.
