ERNIE NOVAKOWSKI
July 20, 1938 - February 10, 2022

Peacefully at home, with his family by his side, Ernie passed away on February 10, 2022.
Ernie is lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Helen; son Glen (Debbie); daughter Debbie (Ryan); grandchildren, Torin (Grandpa's partner), Jennifer, Amanda (Mike and family); and great-granddaughter Michaela. He is also survived by brothers, Ed (Hazel), Bob (Dale), Larry; as well as his sisters, Emily (Mickey), Lillian and Annette (Les); Helen's family, Donna (Tom) and Peter; and many special nieces and nephews. He was a very good friend to all. Ernie was predeceased by his infant brother Clifford; and parents, Casmir and Alice.
Family was the most important part of Ernie's life. He was always there whenever he was needed, and supported us in any way he could. Ernie enjoyed many years of camping at Grand Beach and vacations with family. He loved his 1950 blue Dodge and drove it with pride. Ernie enjoyed going racing with family and even helped to fabricate an electric junior dragster for Torin, which currently holds a world record. He was always so proud of his family.
A private service will be held at a later date.

  • Very sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. We always enjoyed our visits with him. He always seemed genuinely happy to always stop and have a chat. We still have the wood duck house he built at the cabin. The ducks come back every year! - Posted by: Melanie Lynn Fraser (Friends) on: Feb 24, 2022
