MARGARET (MARGE) PESCLOVITCH

With heavy hearts, the Pesclovitch family sadly announces the passing of a devoted wife, proud mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a friend to many and a true north end gal. Marge (Nanny) died Wednesday, February 16, 2022 peacefully, painlessly and with loved ones by her side.
She is survived and forever remembered by her daughter Carol; her son Glenn (Meighan); grandchildren, Grady and Kamryn, Meghan (Dan) and great- grandchildren, Tryphon and Edwin and daughter-in-law Margaret.
Marge was born in August of 1924 in Strathclair, Manitoba to her mother and father, who were immigrants of Poland, who came to Canada in the early 1900s at the governments offer of free land as long as you were committed to farming.
She moved to the city as a young girl with her older sister Olga and began work in Winnipeg in the garment industry. She met the love of her life Bill in 1944, had a whirlwind romance, were married a short time later and were married for 62 years. Her focus was on raising a family and providing for them in the north end of Winnipeg, where she lived for the rest of her life. She was proud of her north end roots and gave back to the community through years and years of service with the Lady's Auxiliary of the Ukrainian Canadian Legion Veterans Branch #141. If you couldn't find Marge in the city, chances are she was out enjoying the weekend at the family cottage at Lee River. One of her favourite pastimes in her later years was sitting on the deck with her buddy Marlene and offering advice to anyone that happened to walk by. She was predeceased by her husband Bill; sisters, Olga and Anne; her oldest son Randy and her grandson Matthew.
Our family would like to thank the exceptional care and compassion that were shown by the nurses, aides and staff at Maples personal care home. You treated our Mom with dignity and that was very important to her and to us.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
Due to current Covid 19 restrictions, people who are attending are required to show proof of vaccination and wear a facemask.
