Hi Brenda, I still remember all those years ago when your house on Kern Drive was being built. We were so excited to meet our new neighbours. I remember thinking your mom was beautiful and stylish! I remember her standing at the fence visiting with my Opoe, who was visiting from Holland. I wondered how they could understand each other because my Opoe was speaking Dutch, but they obviously were making themselves understood because they were laughing. I think all of us, as Bert’s children living so far away, truly appreciated all the help your parents were to our Dad when he had his health issues. I also remember visiting with your Dad on the front porch when we came back to Transcona to see Dad and Anne. We are so very sorry for you loss and thankful that you have loved ones around for support. Your long ago neighbour, Henriette. - Posted by: Henriette (Westerik) Longbottom (Transcona neighbour) on: Mar 09, 2022

Hi Brenda, I was a neighbour to your family many years ago for many years. When my Dad Bert lost my mother Roselie and remarried to Anne, your Dad and Mom were always so good to them and we so appreciated their kindness. Whenever we arrived home for a visit we would have a chance to talk with them and catch up. I just wanted to extend our condolences with the death of your Mom. I know that you were always a very close family. They will always be fondly remembered. Alice Webb nee Westerik - Posted by: Alice Webb (Westerik) (Transcona neighbour) on: Mar 09, 2022
