MATCHETT, James Aron "Jim" Passed away at his residence in, Belmont, MB, on Monday March 14, 2022 at the age of 91 years, James Aron "Jim" Matchett. Jim leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Betty, four children, Diniece (Dale) Rose of Wawanesa, MB, Melody (Don) Barwick of Ninette, MB, Troy Matchett of Belmont, MB, Stacey Eaton of Wawanesa, MB, as well as grandchildren Phillip, Brad (Brooke), Matt (Alex), Ryan (Megan), Chase (Sam), Lacey, Little Matt and Izzy and great-grandchildren Briar, Ashton, Kolton, Brantley, Clayton, Skylar, Taylor and Chase. He is also survived by his sisters in-law Irma MacKay and Angie MacKay as well as extended relatives. Jim was pre-deceased by his parents Lestor and Pearl, mother and father-in-law Mary and Mac MacKay, sisters Beryl (John) McPhail, twin sister Ruby Matchett as well as brothers in-law Wilf MacKay and Stewart MacKay. Come and Go Memorial Tea to honor Jim's life will be held on Saturday March 26, 2022 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm in the Belmont Community Hall, Belmont, MB. Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Jim's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Winnipeg MB, R3C 2B7, or to a charity of choice.
