STANLEY JOHN BUDZ

Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Stanley John Budz peacefully in his sleep on March 10, 2022, at the age of 97 at Deer Lodge Centre.
Stan was born on April 18, 1924 in Rossburn, Manitoba and lived most of his life here in Winnipeg.
He was survived by his two sons, Warren and Wayne, Wayne's wife Clanci and their daughters, Kaleigh and Emma.
Stan was predeceased by his brothers, Rodney and Larry.
A longtime employee at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, I know he will be greatly missed.
There will be no services held although we know his loss will be felt by many.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Uncle Stan was married to my Aunt Florence. She passed away when she was in her early 30’s (1963). We always maintained contact with him afterwards and was able to visit him on numerous occasions in Winnipeg during the early 2000’s. He was our favourite Uncle and the Phillips family spent a lot of fun times when he lived in Scarborough, as well as at Drew family get togethers. He was a very interesting guy who always wanted to learn. He was proud of his wartime service with RCAF during WWII and shared the odd story with me in his later years. We loved his stories of the Toronto Maple Leafs, during their heydays in the 60’s, when he was with CBC. RIP Uncle Stan.
