HIEBERT: Dorothyann went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the age of 84 years. Dorothy Anna Hiebert (nee Jewell) was born August 3, 1937 to Katherine and Henry Jewell in the municipality of Morris, Manitoba. The family moved to Winnipeg where Dorothyann grew up. In 1961, she married and moved to the Brandon area where she raised her family. As a young woman, Dorothyann was trained as a nurse's aide and enjoyed being able to help those in her care. She held many jobs in her lifetime, but no matter what she was doing, she did it with pride and a grateful heart. Dorothyann was very creative and had many interests. She spent years working with ceramics, drawing, and writing stories and poetry. However, her favourite pastime was spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothyann was blessed with two sons: Calvin and Norman, and three daughters: Lillian, Joy and Sandra. She is survived by her children: Calvin, Lillian (Rick), Joy (Emmerson) and Sandra (Richard), 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Norman in 1963 and daughter-in-law Lori in 2020.The Celebration of Dorothyann's Life will take place at Memories Chapel, 330 – 18th Street North, on Saturday, April 23, 2022 (today) at 11:00 a.m. with viewing prior to the service.
