KENNETH HARRISON
It is with shock and disbelief the family of Kenneth Harrison announce his passing.
Kenn was a remarkable person, one who never complained and always saw the best in people. He was someone to look up to, his perseverance and ambition. Kenn was a self-made success; he worked hard to self educate, as well academically. He was also a member of the armed forces for a short time.
Suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis, a painful and debilitating disease from a young age, Kenn endured several surgeries to replace his joints with patience and humor. Jokes about being the bionic man, Iron Man and not being able to walk though metal detectors were common during his recovery.
Kenn took his knowledge and created a web development and maintenance company, where he did contract work for small businesses and non-profit organizations. Kenn also worked at Society for Manitobans with Disabilities (SMD) as the computer instructor, helping others with disabilities learn computer skills to enter the job market. He loved his job and the ability to help people. He even won an award for Employee Excellence.
We are all going to miss our humble tech guy, with the biggest heart and the kindest demeaner. We all were so proud of him and loved him deeply.
Kenn was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Florence.
Left to morn him are his siblings, Shane, Stuart and Tiffani; nieces and nephew, Charlotte (Rob), Karel (Jessica), Robynn (Scott); great-nephew Nathon (Randean); great-niece Kendra and amazing friend who we can never thank enough, Zenna.
Rest pain free in peace Kenn.
If so inclined, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.

I am deeply saddened to have learnt of Kenn's sudden passing. I worked with Kenn at EPC (Employment Preparation Centre) at Manitoba Possible (previously known as SMD). Kenn was an amazing person. He was kind, compassionate, giving and had a great sense of humor. He was always ready to listen and help someone in need. I remember many good times that we shared in the computer lab with his friend/volunteer, Paul. I will hold on to those memories. I will miss you my friend. My heartfelt sympathy to his family. To all Kenneth’s family, I was so sorry to learn of his passing and offer sincere condolences. He was so good and I know his mum was watching closely so that although she knew his rheumatoid arthritis kept him in pain most of the time he didn’t let it slow him down mentally. Our exchange of birthday e mails in August was a tradition I’ll miss they weren’t long exchanges but let me know he was alright. Kenneth knew what a computer was long before most of us even thought of using this form of communication. Kenneth was a page boy at our wedding and we watched him growing up, and although we didn’t see him often when he went out on his own, his mum would tell me proudly of all his achievements. Rest In Peace Kenneth, Aunty Fay and family - Posted by: Fay (Aunty) on: May 05, 2022
