Sorry to learn about Dave’s passing. I was a student in water tech from OUC BC on a Word study program. He was the best teacher, he gave me confiance in myself and showed me that you didn’t need to be strong or brave but simply smart. Thirty years later I still think of him fondly and I have used his teachings through out my life. I am grateful to have had the chance to learn from him. My heart goes out to you the family and his friends too. Chantal - Posted by: Chantal Leclerc (Former ouc student) on: Mar 05, 2023

My sincerest condolences to Dave's family. I've had the pleasure of working with him over the years and will very much miss being able to call on his knowledge & expertise. He was able to find a solution for any problem presented to him, and was always willing to get in there and help fix it. He taught me to think outside the box, and that's something I can & will take forward. RIP Dave. - Posted by: Sylvia (Colleague) on: Apr 28, 2022

I had the privilege of working with Dave off and on for the last more than 25 years. Over the years we became friends more than just colleagues. Dave’s life was marked by a kind and generous spirit that extended into everything he did. While he was a world-class and internationally known technician, those things never made it to his ego. His humility touched everyone he met. We will miss you Dave. - Posted by: Mark Stone (Friend / Colleague) on: Apr 25, 2022

Dave and I started at SHL Systemhouse on the same day, September 26, 1977. He was an instant friend and mentor. We spent many hours together on that first project and others that followed. I, and everyone he met, was in awe of his knowledge and ability to quickly grasp complex problems. Yet he was anything but arrogant; the exact opposite really. Through the years we kept in touch. He was always quick to help with any problem, but he let you work though it yourself instead of taking over. I cannot say enough about this remarkable man I had the privilege to call friend. Love you Bud. - Posted by: Jack Boyer (Friend and colleague ) on: Apr 24, 2022
