ELIZABETH (LIZ) DOMSTAD
(nee SIGURDSON)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our mother, Elizabeth (Liz) Domstad, passed away at The Health Sciences Centre on April 28, 2022, at the age of 82.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Angela Robinson and Audra Domstad; and her granddaughter Sarah Jane Robinson; sister Grace Murray; numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandnieces and nephews; friends; as well as her two cats, Stan Lee and Joey.
Liz was born in Sandy Hook, MB on May 26, 1939, to Jon and Inga Sigurdson as the youngest of 10 brothers and sisters.
When Liz was a teenager, she saw a poster for the Calgary Stampede and decided her future would be in Calgary. She started a family and lived there until 1989 when her granddaughter Sarah Jane was born in Toronto. She stayed in Toronto until 1996 working for Sunquest. That summer she decided to move back to Calgary where she remained until she retired in 2008. Her heart led her to move home to Sandy Hook. Liz enjoyed being in her garden, doing crosswords, and watching the resident wildlife come and go. She loved the company of her family and enjoyed how much happiness her cats provided her each day.
We are planning a family get together this summer, more details to follow and will be shared.
If friends so desire, a memorial tribute may be made to the animal charity of their choice.
