JANET TANNAHILL SHETTLER
(nee WILSON)

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Janet Shettler on April 24, 2022 at the age of 92.
Janet is survived by daughter Janis (Byron); son Thomas (Beverly); four grandchildren, Paul (Janelle), David (Lisa), Lynne (Joey) and Steven (Whitney); six great-grandchildren, Parker, Emerson, Oaklin, Tenley, Maddison and Isabel; brother William (Phyllis); and brother-in-law Allan.
Janet was predeceased by her beloved husband Ernie in 2006; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Victor and Florence; sister-in-law Gertrude; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Millie and Arnold Ellis.
The Shettlers often enjoyed getting together to play cards.
Janet enjoyed volunteering at Parkside Plaza Meal Program and served on the Executive at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club. She was a Committee Member at Parkside Seniors Club, East St. Paul Seniors Club and Middlechurch Dinner Club.
Mom and Dad made wonderful friends throughout their years golfing at Elmhurst. They also enjoyed camping for many years, often at Falcon Lake. They continued to enjoy travelling after their 25th wedding anniversary to warm destinations including their retirement home of 16 years in Mesa, Arizona.
Her favourite hobby was ceramics, where she created many precious keepsakes for her family. Our family Christmas trees will always be full of beautiful handmade ornaments from Nannie!
In keeping with her wishes, no funeral service will be held.
A private family gathering to celebrate Janet's life will take place.
