RAYMOND ALEXANDER DILAY
(RONNIE)

June 21, 1954 - May 2, 2022

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond, beloved husband of Darlene for 27 years.
Raymond is survived by his two daughters, Leigh (aka Lisa) and partner Debbie, and his youngest daughter Cheyanne, sister Mary, three nieces, three nephews, plus several great-nieces and great-nephews, and their families. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Steve and Glenn (Kim) and their families.
Ray was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Olga Dilay, brothers, Terry, Steve and Jerry Dilay.
Ray was born in Winnipeg and raised and lived in the North End until he moved to Grand Marais and built his own home, moving back to Winnipeg several years later. Ray worked at CP Rail for 36 and a half years until his retirement in 2008, after which he worked at his and Darlene's floral shop, and took on other jobs until he became ill. He loved older model cars, martial arts and motorcycles. He loved Indigenous art, home renovation shows, playing darts, and bowling. But his greatest love was his family.
Extra special thank you to our extended family, Danielle Chernhoski and Jeffrey Laycock, Susan Grace and Dion Delorme for all their help with Ray's appointments, shopping, and other things during his difficult battle.
Prayers and viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with prayers at 7:30 p.m., with Celebrant Vince Anderson officiating. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., Interment to follow. Both services will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB.
