CHARLOTTE MCLAUGHLIN
July 16, 1951 - May 10, 2022
It is with profound and immeasurable sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Charlotte McLaughlin, at the age of 70 on May 10, 2022, at St. Boniface Hospital.
Charlotte lost a short-lived battle with pancreatic cancer. Charlotte McLaughlin (Simpson) was born in Winnipeg on July 16, 1951 as the third oldest of a traditional post war family with five siblings.
Charlotte was predeceased by and will rest alongside her remarkable parents, Beryl and William (Bill) Simpson. Char is survived by her aunt Marilyn Gault, siblings: Sandy Simpson (Jackie), Jenny Diller (Clive), Rob Simpson (Fran), Randy (Viennese) and their baby brother Rod Simpson. Char is also survived by her two incredible boys both of whom have filled her with overwhelming pride: Clarke McLaughlin (Shirley) and Patrick McLaughlin (Danielle). The culmination of Charlotte's later years was shining as an outstanding 'Grammy' to her five loving grandkids: Everleigh (8), Carey (7), Callan (5), Isla (4) and Ellis (3).
Charlotte's life will be celebrated and her memory honoured with a public funeral service that will be held on Thursday, May 26, at 10:00 a.m. The service will take place at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB.
Donations can be made of her behalf to CancerCare Manitoba or other organizations close to their heart.

Charlotte and I took our service rep training together. We had quite a few laughs together. She definitely had a sunny disposition! Charlotte often spoke of her two boys and how proud she was of them! I send my deepest condolences to Clarke and Patrick and their families. I'm so very sorry to hear of Char's passing 😪 I had the great pleasure of working with her at MTS a number of years ago. She was such a friendly lady, always, always smiling! I'm fondly remembering some of the antics we got up to at work on occasion, and one night after work Char, myself, and at least one other co-worker went to the Forks to take advantage of a free line dance lesson. However, as it was taking place right out in the open for all to see....someone chickened out so we ended up in a pub there instead and we had a blast!!! WAY more fun than a free dance lesson!!! To Char's family...please accept my deepest condolences, and keep all those awesome memories you have of her close to your heart. (I'm sure you each have tons) Bernadette - Posted by: Bernadette Parrack (Co-worker/Friend ) on: May 14, 2022
