IRENE NESS

We are saddened to share that Irene Ness, our treasured mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, on May 12, 2022, at the age of 91.
Irene was predeceased by her husband Bill (1982) and is survived by her son David (Susan); daughter Nancy (Cam), and four grandchildren, Carissa, Eleze, William (Annie) and Andrew.
Irene was born on the farm in Insinger, Saskatchewan on November 2, 1930, and was one of 14 children. Irene loved playing cards and games with her family and especially her grandchildren who brought her great joy and pride. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching sports, baking and making preserves, finding the best deal and doing things for others. She liked storytelling and having a laugh and her kindness and generosity was felt by everyone she knew and met.
In compliance with Irene's wishes, there will be no service. A private interment will be held, and she will be laid to rest with her husband Bill.
Our family wishes to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Victoria General Hospital - they were wonderful.
In lieu of flowers, our family invites you to make a donation to a charity of your choice.
Irene will be so very sadly missed by all who knew her but never forgotten.
