Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • I am very sad to hear of Marc’s passage. He was a kind and caring man. He was interested in people. He loved meeting people and learning about them. He was genuinely interested and really listened. I have very fond memories of excursions to the cottage in West Hawk . Happy times. Happy memories I will keep always. My mother Aline has also passed but was a friend of Les Saltels as well. Farewell Marc. May you have fair winds and smooth waters. - Posted by: Therese Duval (Friend) on: Jun 06, 2022

  • It is with sadness that I heard of Marc's passing and I wish to extend my sympathy to his family and siblings Lise, Roger and Monique. Marc could always bring a smile and laugh to your day and I remember his acting roles in high school plays. - Posted by: Erminia Bastone Maykut (Sioux Lookout friend) on: Jun 02, 2022

  • I am saddened to hear of Marc’s passing. It was always a pleasure to see him and Jackie at the high school reunions in Sioux Lookout. His sense of humour was the best. My condolences to his family and his siblings Lise, Roger and Monique, a lovely family. - Posted by: Susan Clarke Malcolm (Friend) on: Jun 02, 2022

- Posted by: Gerald, Annette et famille (Friends) on: May 23, 2022

  • Such sad news to learn of Marc's passing. Marc and I met at the U of M in Economics class where we both had enrolled as mature students in 1969. Marc became a good friend over the following years and was always there to help out whenever asked. Marc was a devoted family man with a strong sense of purpose, generosity and devotion toward his family and friends. Marc always enjoyed good humour and saw the positive side of people. I left Winnipeg about 18 years ago but kept in touch with Marc from time to time. We spoke on the phone a couple of weeks ago. When I asked how he was, he said "Fine!", so typical of Marc not to complain about how ill he most certainly was. Marc will be sorely missed by all who knew him. - Posted by: Roger Young (Friend) on: May 21, 2022

  • It is with great sadness that I offer my sincere sympathies to Jacinthe, Eric, Kim and the grandkids on Marc's passing. We spoke every two or three weeks and he always seemed to be doing well, always putting family before everything else. He was a devoted family man and will be sadly missed. May he rest in Peace. - Posted by: Paul Roy (cousin) on: May 21, 2022
