WAYNE ROBERT GRANDMONT
September 7, 1956 - June 13, 2022

With broken hearts, the family announces the passing of Wayne Grandmont on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the age of 65.
He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Olive Grandmont and many other loved ones. He leaves to mourn his siblings, Denise, Ray, Roger (Carrie) and Lisa (Martin); nieces, Renee and Christie (Ryan); nephew Cory (Amber); great-nieces, Mikaila and Emma; great-nephews, Nicholas, Richard and Brady; also, his loving girlfriend Leslie and their cat Snoopy.
Wayne had a career of over 30 years at Maxim Truck and Trailer. He was very well respected and knew his "stuff." He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer two years ago and lived life to the fullest getting in as much ride time as he possibly could on his beloved Indian Chieftain. That bike was a 2016 and he had put on over 90,000 km. He loved to ride!
Wayne was a kind, humble, gentle soul who touched many people's lives and left a lasting impression. He had a lot of life-long friends who will miss him dearly. Great stories and memories will continue for many, many years. People were always drawn to Wayne. Total strangers would often strike up a conversation. He had quite a sense of humour and loved teasing people. Wayne also loved his snooker and was an avid pool player since his teenage years. He could be found many Saturday nights table-side along the pool tables at his neighborhood establishment. We always knew where to find Wayne. We will truly miss you brother.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 23 at 1:30 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Hwy.

  • Sorry to hear about Wayne's passing. Condolences to Ray and the rest of the family. Known him for years from riding. Had a good conversation with Wayne and Ray in Elma last year. Happy riding in the big sky Wayne. - Posted by: Ken Schindel (Friend from riding) on: Jun 20, 2022

  • I used to talk to Wayne pretty much on a daily business when I worked for and then owned North End Spring. Wayne was always quick to make me smile on those phone calls. He tried to help suggest a better way or solution. If I made a mistake he would say “that’s okay kid” instead of beating me up about it. Wayne was “One of the good ones” - Posted by: Debbie Zajaros (Colleague ) on: Jun 18, 2022
