• Our deepest sympathy to Marie, Christina, John and families. Having known John since the 80's, we were impressed with his ongoing ability to keep up with technology, his fierce independence, and his deep faith. His love and concern for Marie was boundless. His pride in his four grandchildren so obvious in conversation. He was truly grateful to his children and their spouses, who he came to rely on as his health declined. He would often ask after the people for whom he prayed, being diligent in his spiritual life. We were honored to call him our friend. Heaven has gained an angel. May He Rest in Peace. • It is with sadness that I just found out about John's passing. A Mass was said for him in our parish during this week, and I was not sure I heard the priest correctly, so I had to check the Obituaries to be certain. Unfortunately I missed the funeral but I would like to send condolences to Marie, their daughter Christina and son John and the grandchildren. It was always a pleasure to speak to John and to hear his lovely accent, which reminded me so much of home. A Mass card will follow soon, and I hope to be in touch with Marie soon too.
