JUNE LOIS (WOOD) SOBKOWICZ
August 31, 1930 May 30, 2022
It is with great sadness that her family announces June's passing at the age of 91 years, with her son David at her side.
June is survived by her daughter Joan (Glen); son David; sister Claudia (Norman); as well as numerous wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews.
June is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Ed; son Michael; parents, Cecil and Daisy; mother-in-law Anna; father-in-law John; sister Olive; brothers-in-law, Frank, Harley, Jack, Walter and Joe and sisters-in-law, Joan and May.
June was born in Medicine Hat, AB to Cecil Garland Wood and Daisy Wood (nee Scudder). Although living far from each other as adults, June and her two sisters were always close at heart.
As an RN, principally in the OR, June worked in Canada and the USA. After moving to Winnipeg, the family enjoyed a warm relationship with their relatives the Kustra and Dzogan families.
Her family would like to thank Dr. A. Fatoye of Kildonan Clinic, Winnipeg for his compassionate care.
If friends and family so choose, a donation to Agape Table Inc., PO Box 26111, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3G 3R3, would be greatly appreciated.

Our sincere condolences go out to David, Joan and Glen. June was always such a warm, kind and generous soul! I still recall the excitement and anticipation my sisters and I shared when our parents announced we'd be making the trek from Winnipeg to Fort Frances. In addition to visiting our dear cousins Mike, Joan and David, we knew we would be treated royally at Uncle Ed's and Aunt June's home. The same applied in later years when we visited them in Steveston, BC and Federal Way, WA. June was good company. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and was positive and upbeat. June's realistic yet sunny outlook on life made every encounter a memory to be treasured. Leslie and I appreciate her positive vibes as she directed her Reiki our way. Aunt June may be physically gone but her love will be with us always. - Posted by: Leslie & Ken Dzogan (Family) on: Jul 03, 2022
