SHIRLEY FRANCES REGNELL
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Shirley Frances Regnell of Winnipeg on July 8, 2022 at the age of 82.
Left to mourn are her sisters, Bernice Goddard (Paul) of North Vancouver, BC, son Geoffrey (Leisa), children, Mercer and Ellery; and Christine Jackson (Archer) of Winnipeg; daughters, Lee Giroux and Heather Kennedy (Michael) and son Matthew. Shirley was predeceased by parents, Andrew and Diana Regnell.
Shirley was a proud north ender of Winnipeg, graduating from Tec-Voc School. She was a devoted caregiver to her mother Diana for many years until she passed in 1996. Shirley was employed with Old Dutch Foods for over 30 years retiring in 2008.
She was a faithful Winnipeg Transit traveller, knowing most of the routes by heart. Her home was her castle and pride and joy.
Her family wishes to thank the staff at Seven Oaks, St. Boniface and Misericordia Hospitals for all the comfort and care they gave Shirley while hospitalized there.
Cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held. A private family graveside service will be held at the Regnell plot at Brookside Cemetery.
