GORDON: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Alton Gordon of Winnipeg, on June 22, 2022. Don is survived by the love of his life, Gisele, his daughters Carla (Wayne), Lisa (Dave), grandchildren, Lucas, Cole, Emily, and William, Mother Mavis (Percy), brother Rick (Linda), sisters Della, Linda, and Buffy (Duane), along with his many nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his father Richard and brother Randy. Don was born in Vancouver, BC on June 26th, 1952. After spending most of his years in Brandon and Winnipeg, Don graduated from Humber college and returned to Brandon in 1975 to work with his father at Rosewood Memorial Chapel and Gardens and became owner-operator until he sold the business. After retiring in 2012, Don and Gisele moved to Winnipeg to be closer to their family. They enjoyed spending winters at their home in Arizona and summers on their boat in Winnipeg, entertaining family and friends. Don loved music and watching documentaries. He was an avid reader of history and autobiographies. Don was very talented and self taught. He maintained his plane, boat, developed computer data bases for his business and could repair anything. Don will be remembered for his humour, his kindness and his generosity, and for his vast knowledge which made every evening watching jeopardy a friendly competition to see who could shout out the answer the quickest. Respecting Don's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life is planned for this fall. Details for the celebration is available at Voyage Funeral home website at voyagefuneralhome.com. If you wish to donate in remembrance of Don, please choose any charity that is close to you or loved one's hearts.

We were nextdoor neighbours of Don and Gisele at Rougeau Gardens for several years up until 2020. We had the pleasure of having several chats with Don during that time. Don was always so welcoming and we appreciated his stories and sense of humour. Don will be greatly missed. Our condolences to Gisele, her family, and Don's friends. Sincerely, Ben, Cristy, and daughter Emma - Posted by: Ben Dorge and Cristy Kubara (We were neighbours) on: Jul 24, 2022

Heartfelt condolences to you and your family Gisele. I always treasured our friendship with you both. From opening your home to us in Arizona to boat rides on the river, or hanging out on the dock - your company was always enjoyed. Don was definitely a man of knowledge and always willing to share a story or advice. He will be missed. Take care and hope to talk soon. ❤️ - Posted by: Joy and Guy (Friends) on: Jul 21, 2022
