  • Sending prayers of love, healing and compassion.... As we reflect on our many childhood memories of George we remember the joyful times we shared as a family and of all our many family get togethers. We were a close family guided by our wonderful grandparents. As time progressed and we went our separate ways to build our futures, we lost touch and our contact with each other was limited. Our bonds were always intact and the love and laughter we shared as children carried throughout the years....thank you for the wonderful memories...the laughter....and the lasting impression you made in this world....sending love to Colleen and family at this difficult time.... we keep you in our hearts and thoughts...love to all...(Uncle Bob's girls). • So very sorry to hear of your loss Coleen & family! George & I worked together at the North Winnipeg branch of CIBC. We had a lot of good happy times & there was never a dull moment when George was around! The work get togethers we had in our lower level were always a blast! The Christmas parties were even better! Larry will miss seeing you in Costco & the mall doing your walks & stopping for a chat. Rest in peace my friend. Liz - Posted by: Liz Golis (Co-worker CIBC ) on: Aug 22, 2022

  • George and I worked together in the 1970's in Thunder Bay Ontario where our young families became friends. At the time George's favorite say was "In a hundred years it won't matter" Well George you were right. - Posted by: Vic Toews (Friend) on: Aug 21, 2022

  • My heartfelt condolences to Coleen and family. George was one of a kind! In my almost 30 years working at CIBC I had many managers but George was by far my favourite. He would make us laugh everyday and was always up for a staff party. He’d often bring us Cookies by George and tell us he made them 😂. A really kind and great man. Cheers George! - Posted by: Ashlee Taylor (Coworker ) on: Aug 21, 2022

  • Coleen and family it is with deepest sympathy that I try to write my thoughts about the passing of your loved one. As you know my connection with you and George goes back many years both in the Bank and more rewarding as a friend. I always felt you both were a part of my family. Verna and I always looked forward to visits at our place in Gimli when you rented cabins at Camp Morton and later at the trailer park. Later the meetings at bank functions. More recently my phone calls were received my George's positive and happy attitude. When he updated on all the news of banker friends and of course his family. My thoughts are with you and your family now. Al - Posted by: Allen Palmer (friend) on: Aug 21, 2022
